What akadesk.com stores in your browser, and why.

This website
akadesk.com sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your light or dark theme preference, in localStorage under the key `theme`, so the site does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit.
If you choose a country from the country control — here or on another Akadesk site — we remember it in a cookie named `country`, set on the akadesk.com domain so the choice carries with you rather than resetting on the next site you visit. This is a preference cookie, not an analytics or advertising one: we set it only when you make that choice yourself, never from detecting where you are, it holds nothing but the one of three options you picked, and no personal data. It lasts a year, or until you choose again.
Clearing site data removes both, and the site then follows your operating system's setting and our best guess at your region instead.
The agent portal
Once you sign in to the agent portal, a session token is stored so you are not asked to sign in on every page. It is required for the service to function and is removed when you sign out.
