How Appsotech Limited handles the personal data of people who apply to, or work in, the Akadesk agent programme.
This is a plain-language draft awaiting legal review. Where the Operator and the Agent have signed a separate agreement, that agreement governs.
What is collected, and why
From an applicant: the details on the application form — name, contact details, location, experience, references, and the consents you tick. We use them to assess the application, contact your references, and, if you consent, run a background check.
From an active agent: the records the programme runs on — your portfolio of schools, your logged engagements and weekly reports, your commission ledger and payout details. These are part of the platform, and are used to calculate and pay your commission and to run the support relationship with your schools.
Who controls the data
For your own account and application, Appsotech Limited is the data controller. For personal data of a school, its staff or its learners that you handle as an agent, the school is the controller and you act as Appsotech Limited's processor on its instructions.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use school or learner records to train models.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your personal data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to records we must keep for tax and audit. Where the controller is a school, we will pass the request to it and support it in answering.
